Shaping cooperation together

The last few months have been shaped by our new guidelines, which describe how we wish to work together. The guidelines were not simply dictated into the company from above. Instead, they were developed together with employees, managers, the works council and management. Today, we are proud that our guiding principles have laid the foundation for a common understanding of leadership and cooperation.
However, guidelines are of course only good if they are actually put into practice on a daily basis; simply writing them down on paper doesn’t achieve much, because paper is patient after all. 😉
To ensure that the guidelines are applied, we have organised workshops for employees and managers, among other things.
Our managers were given insights into motivation theories and communication models in order to better understand the needs of their employees and respond to them effectively. Practical exercises helped them to apply the management guidelines in appraisal interviews and to ensure structured, targeted communication.
Together with the employees, we worked on case studies that showed how the guidelines can be applied in everyday situations. The case studies described were based on situations that could have happened to us in the same or a similar way – quite a few people had to smile when reading them. 😉
We are continuing to work together to firmly integrate the guidelines into our day-to-day business in order to optimise collaboration at all levels.
