    The construction of the new waste-to-energy plant in Wiesbaden, Germany, has made substantial progress in recent months. Between 07 July and 08 September 2023, the assembly of the pressure part and essential components such as the grate, which forms the heart of the facility, the demin water tank and the ash hopper started.

    What happened on the construction site of the new waste-to-energy plant in Wiesbaden, Germany, between 07 April and 07 July 2023? Our time-lapse shows the assembly of the steel structure up to the height of the boiler support grate. At the same time, the demin water tank was set and the grates installed. In addition, the primary air preheater was erected and inserted into the steel structure. The next important milestone is the assembly of the boiler.

    The time-lapse video shows the progress of the construction of the new waste-to-energy plant in Wiesbaden, Germany, from 10 March to 04 May 2022. The new power plant, which Doosan Lentjes is supplying on a turnkey basis together with its consortium partner ARIKON, will thermally process around 240,000 tonnes of municipal and commercial waste from the greater Wiesbaden area once completed.

    Doosan Lentjes, together with Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, is currently building the new turnkey waste-to-energy plant in Olsztyn, Poland. Recently, the project reached a major milestone with the delivery of the two gas-fired peak load boilers, which will enable Olsztyn residents to be supplied with environmentally friendly district heating from this winter onwards.
