Process engineering welcomes new colleague

On 11 September, we were pleased to welcome our new colleague, Uwe Lutz, who will be supporting the process engineering department as a project engineer from now on. Uwe has 30 years of experience in the industry and will be responsible for the process engineering of the flue gas cleaning and its components downstream of the waste boiler. This includes, among other things, basic and detail engineering as well as the preparation of process and P&I flow diagrams.

Uwe is enthusiastic about technology and has already worked on #WasteToEnergy plants – especially with regard to flue gas cleaning – cooling towers and power plant contracts. “Now I’m looking forward to bringing my enthusiasm and many years of experience to Doosan Lentjes,” he says. (So are we! 😊)

In his spare time, too, he is passionate about technology, because Uwe is a big computer fan. He started programming privately with Turbo Pascal at a young age. Later, he even worked in software development as a career changer. “I didn’t find the world formula during that time,” smiles Uwe Lutz. “But I’ve been able to gather a lot of experience during these years and I can’t wait to incorporate it into my new position.”

Uwe can’t keep his hands off the PC: “I create my own virtual world with various image editing programmes. Recently, I have discovered a love for vector graphics. This is more like freehand drawing with a pencil. It allows me to realise the images I have in my head with more freedom.” (the photo we have attached to this post gives an idea. 😊)

We are very pleased that we were able to win over such a diversely talented colleague for us in Uwe Lutz and wish him much joy for his tasks.
