Celebrating joint successes!
Our project team executing the Flanders sewage sludge treatment contract in Belgium has reached an important milestone – and they are celebrating together.
Doosan Lentjes was awarded the contract to supply the new sewage sludge treatment plant in Flanders in September 2022. As part of the turnkey project, Doosan Lentjes is responsible for the planning, delivery, installation and commissioning of the entire process engineering, mechanical and electrical part. Commissioning of the new facility in the port of Ghent is scheduled for 2026.
One process line will be supplied that includes a bubbling bed furnace, a steam generator, a multi-stage flue gas cleaning system and a water-steam cycle. The Flemish municipal wastewater treatment company Aquafin has awarded the DBFMO contract for the new plant to FOSTER, a consortium of the BESIX Group and Indaver NV.
In the first phase of the project, our project team has successfully supported the customer in preparing the approval documents, thus creating the basis for a successful second phase. At a joint dinner in Ratingen with delicious food and a cold drink or two, project manager Miroslav Dolejsi expressed his thanks for the “impressive example of teamwork and commitment”.
