Your responsibilities
Leading and developing the team
- Technical and managerial leadership of the Process Engineering department
- Supporting, developing and motivating staff through coaching, mentoring and targeted training programmes
- Conducting regular performance reviews and supporting individual development
- Contributing to staff planning as well as recruitment and remuneration decisions
- Promoting an open and respectful culture of communication
Organisation and management of the department
- Overall responsibility for the organisation, performance and strategic direction of process engineering
- Planning and managing staff and capacity resources
- Responsibility for budget planning and cost centre management
- Planning and monitoring of engineering effort in projects
- Calculation of the number of hours required for quotations
- Analysis of cost and time reports
- Management and provision of necessary software and work equipment
Technical responsibility and collaboration
- Responsibility for the technical quality of process engineering design in projects
- Further development of technical standards, engineering methods and work processes
- Standardisation of engineering solutions and expansion of sustainable knowledge management
- Supporting project teams with complex process engineering issues
- Close collaboration with internal specialist departments and senior management
- Participation in cross-functional committees and regular reporting to senior management
- Initiating and implementing measures for the continuous improvement of processes and workflows
Your profile
- A successfully completed degree in process engineering, energy engineering, chemical engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in process engineering within plant construction
- Several years of experience in managing staff or project teams
- In-depth knowledge of the planning and design of process engineering plants
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of responsibility
- A structured, independent and solution-oriented approach to work
- A confident manner and a pleasure in collaborating with different departments
- Fluency in spoken and written German and English
