The activities were part of the Doosan Day of Community Service – a global initiative held twice a year and developed to raise awareness of corporate social responsibility among all Doosan employees across the globe.
This 19 April, more than 10,000 people from across several Doosan businesses in 15 countries contributed in the Doosan Day of Community Service volunteering their time in support of local communities.
Mark Christoph Rattay, Headmaster of the Elementary School Doosan Lentjes provided class painting works for, said:
“To us, the Doosan Day of Community Service always makes a difference. Since the first community day held in 2014, we benefit from this great initiative that continues to help us create a more colourful learning environment for our pupils. Again, it was a pleasure to see Doosan Lentjes employees working as a perfect team that focuses on best-possible results for both our teachers and children.”
Thomas Stetter, CEO of Doosan Lentjes, added:
“We are proud to be part of such a great initiative uniting Doosan people around the world in their efforts to support local institutions. Integrated into the corporate culture, our social responsibility covers our entire value-added process and makes our business activities follow social and ethical standards – a milestone to ensure a sustainable corporate behaviour.”
